He also occasionally works as a voice director, dialect coach, actor and voice talent.- Heisenberg studied physics at the University of Munich from 1920 to 1923. There he also did his doctorate under Arnold Johannes Wilhelm Sommerfeld on the stability and turbulence of fluid flows. In between, in 1922 and 1923, he continued his physics studies at Göttingen University with the well-known physicist Max Born. From 1924 he became Max Born's assistant. In Göttingen, Heisenberg completed his habilitation as a professor of physics. From 1924 to 1926 he worked at the University of Copenhagen under the well-known Danish physicist Niels Henrik David Bohr. Between 1924 and 1927, Heisenberg, together with Max Born and Pascual Jordan, developed the theory of quantum mechanics. From 1927 to 1941 Werner Heisenberg taught as a professor of physics at the University of Leipzig.
During this time he headed the Theoretical-Physical Institute in Leipzig. In 1927 his work entitled "On the illustrative content of quantum theoretical kinematics and mechanics" was published. In the same year, the physicist caused a sensation in the professional world with his "Heisenberg uncertainty theory". It states that it is physically impossible to determine the position and momentum of an electron with absolute accuracy at the same time. In 1928 his book entitled "The Physical Principles of Quantum Theory" was published. The following year he traveled to the USA, Japan and India to give lectures. In 1932, Werner Heisenberg was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics for his achievements in the field of quantum mechanics. A year later he was awarded the Max Planck Medal.
The National Socialists barred Heisenberg from teaching and research work at Munich University in 1936 because of his advocacy of the achievements of Albert Einstein and the Austrian physicist Lise Meitner. Heisenberg stayed in Leipzig and devoted himself to physics there. In the same year he married Elisabeth Schumacher. A total of seven children were born from this union. From 1941, the physicist became head of the Berlin Kaiser Wilhelm Institute, which was later renamed the Max Planck Institute. In the same year he taught at the Physics Institute at the University of Berlin. From 1942 to 1945, Heisenberg headed the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Physics in Dahlem and also taught as a professor at the University of Berlin, where he was involved in the Army Weapons Office's uranium project. From 1945 to 1946, Heisenberg was interned in England with other German nuclear physicists and scientists from the National Socialists' uranium project.
After the Second World War, Werner Heisenberg became director and professor of the Max Planck Institute for Physics in Göttingen from 1946 to 1958. His research area included, among other things, atomic fission, which occurs due to cosmic radiation in space. In 1948 he accepted a visiting professorship in Cambridge, England. From 1949 to 1951, Heisenberg served as President of the German Research Council and the traditional Göttingen Academy of Sciences. In 1950 and 1954 he gave guest lectures in the USA. In 1952 Werner Heisenberg became vice-president of the "European Council for Nuclear Physics Research". From 1953 he worked on the "world formula" named after him in the field of field theory of elementary particles. The Heisenberg world formula, which has become popular, is to be understood as a unified theory of matter with which all basic laws of nature are to be understood. In 1953 Heisenberg became the first president of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Bonn-Bad Godesberg.
He held this position until 1975. The institution came into existence on December 10, 1953. In 1955 and 1956, Heisenberg was a visiting lecturer at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. In 1957, in the Göttingen "Declaration of the 18 Atomic Scientists," he publicly declared his opposition to equipping the Bundeswehr with nuclear weapons. In the same year Heisenberg was awarded the "Pour de Mérite" medal. In 1958 he presented his "Uniform Theory of Elementary Particles," which became known as the world formula. From 1958 to 1970 he taught as a professor of physics at the University of Munich and at the same time headed the Max Planck Institute there. In 1964 he was awarded the Great German Cross of Merit with star and shoulder ribbon.

After finishing school with a high school diploma, Kirch studied business administration and mathematics in Würzburg and Munich. In 1952 he received his doctorate. rer. pol, after which he worked as an assistant at the University of Munich. In 1956 he married his wife Ruth. The couple had a son, Thomas Kirch. After this training, Kirch entered the media business as a rights marketer in 1956 with the purchase of 400 films from United Artists and Warner Brothers, for which he founded the company Sirius-Film und Einkauf GmbH in 1955. There were also BetaFilm, founded by Kirch in 1959, and TaurusFilm in 1963, which were used to distribute films and television programs. Unitel was founded in 1966 and IdunaFilm for feature and television film productions in 1968, as well as BetaTechnik, a service center for the Kirch Group, in 1975, and TaurusVideo in 1983.
Kirch's first major acquisition was a 10% stake in the Hamburg-based Axel Springer publishing house in 1985. In 1987, Kirch started a joint venture with the American media group Tribune Company and in 1988 he acquired the majority share in the cable and satellite broadcasting program company, PKS. In 1989, Kirch bought the German Book Association and in 1990 the PKS acquired a 43% stake in the television station SAT.1. At the end of the 1990s, the station was merged with ProSieben and listed on the stock exchange as a subsidiary of the KirchGroup under the name ProSiebenSat1 Media AG 2000. The channels Premiere and DF1 were also united in the KirchGruppe. In 2000, the Australian media entrepreneur Rupert Murdoch acquired a stake in the newly renamed pay-TV channel PREMIERE WORLD for 2.9 billion DM or 24%.
The group now consisted of four main business areas: 1.) The core business was KirchMedia, with the marketing of around 16,000 film and TV productions, program licenses and sports rights; 2.) the pay-TV channel PREMIERE WORLD, with income from subscription fees and the sale of decoders (d-box); 3.) the investments in TV channels such as ProSieben, SAT1, DSF, N24 and 4.) the 40% shares in Axel Springer-Verlag. In addition, there were 36.5% stakes in Constantin Film and 50% in the sports rights agency ISPR, which, among other things, bought the TV rights to the Bundesliga. Kirch also acquired the European broadcast rights to the 2002 and 2006 World Cups for 3.4 billion DM.
This made the KirchGroup the leading provider of film and TV programming in Europe. Kirch also planned, under the management of Dieter Hahn, to become the first fully integrated media company in Germany, which was to be listed on the stock exchange as KirchMedia AG in 2002. This would have made it the largest listed media group in Europe, with interests in over 40 companies worldwide. In 2001, KirchMedia expected sales to increase from 6.5 to 7.0 billion marks or 3.6 billion euros for the first time. ProSiebenSAT.1 Media AG, which was already fully consolidated, contributed around two thirds of the revenue. Since the end of 2001, however, there have been rumors that the Kirch Group could be taken over by the American media mogul Rupert Murdoch.
The KirchGroup is said to be heavily in debt. At the end of January 2002, Axel Springer Verlag demanded around 770 million euros back for its stake in the TV group ProSiebenSAT.1, which is part of the Kirch Group. Kirch declared the put option ineffective. This demand revealed the company's financial difficulties and economic situation. Hypo-Vereinsbank offered Leo Kirch 1.1 billion euros for the Springer stake. In February 2002 the mountain of debt became public: 6.5 billion euros. In March, the pay channel Premiere announced a loss before taxes and interest of 989 million euros for 2001. To overcome the crisis, the banks offered the media group 600-800 million euros in March 2002 in exchange for a stake in KirchMedia, the core business. Kirch declared his willingness to withdraw from the company.
The investors around Murdoch and Silvio Berlusconi's companies expressed interest in the KirchGroup. The banks fought with them over a necessary bridging loan. On Monday, April 8, 2002, KirchMedia filed for bankruptcy at the Munich District Court. The insolvency administrators subsequently tried to restructure the group; Among other things, it was about Axel Springer's shares in the Kirch broadcaster Pro Sieben-Sat1. Consideration was given to how the demand for 767 million euros could be met. After months of negotiations, the Israeli-American entrepreneur Haim Saban finally won the contract: After Saban had beaten out his German competitor, Heinrich-Bauer-Verlag, he began negotiations in mid-March 2003 to take over the former PRO7-SAT.1 group Kirch Group.
But at the beginning of June 2003 the agreement collapsed and both sides met without result. In the meantime, the insolvency administration tried to find a homemade solution to the crisis through the KirchMedia Group and the banks involved. In early August 2003, Saban brought himself back into the game by making another offer. Surprisingly, on August 5th he was awarded the contract for his option to take over 26% shares in ProSiebenSAT.1. Since then, the former KirchMedia group has been led by the Israeli-American media entrepreneur. Kirch was repeatedly linked in public with the CDU party donations affair under the former federal government of Helmut Kohl.
In mid-September 2003 it became known that the Berlin public prosecutor's office had initiated an investigation against former Chancellor Kohl and the media entrepreneur on suspicion of making unsworn false statements. The accusation related to a consulting contract that Kirch is said to have entered into in 1999 for a high remuneration for Kohl and which both were said to have kept secret from the previous Bundestag investigative committee. Meanwhile, Kirch himself was successful in December 2003 with a lawsuit against Deutsche Bank, which he accused of indiscretion in the run-up to his company's insolvency: The failed media entrepreneur then demanded 6 billion euros in damages from the bank. In September 2004, a settlement was reached between the Springer publishing house and the church insolvency administration.
Springer waived its right to sell its stake in ProSiebenSat.1, which the publisher, on the contrary, increased. For this reason, Springer's claim of 325 million euros was recognized in the insolvency proceedings. The sum was financed from a partial sale of KirchMedia to the media entrepreneur Haim Saban, who had had the majority in ProSiebenSat.1 since 2003. After a New York court rejected Kirch's lawsuit against Deutsche Bank in September 2004, Kirch hired star lawyer David Boies to file an appeal in November 2004. The background to the affair was that Deutsche Bank boss Rolf Breuer is said to have publicly questioned the creditworthiness of the Kirch Group in New York in 2002 and, in Kirch's opinion, caused the collapse of his empire. Towards the end of 2004 it became known that the Federal Court of Justice had granted an appeal from Deutsche Bank in the damages dispute with Kirch.
After the Federal Court of Justice ruled in favor of Kirch on January 24, 2006, Rolf E. Breuer resigned from his position as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bank on May 3, 2006. Since it was determined that only the company that had taken out the loan from Deutsche Bank (PrintBeteiligungs GmbH), but not Kirch or other companies in the Kirch Group, was generally entitled to compensation, Kirch planned to file a performance action against Deutsche Bank. He therefore sued Deutsche Bank in May 2007 for damages of 1.6 billion euros. On October 9, 2007, it was announced that the media entrepreneur and his company Sirius GmbH would be marketing the television rights of the Bundesliga from summer 2009, for which he would guarantee the clubs three billion euros over six years. Kirch developed diabetes. In December 2007 his left foot had to be amputated. As a result of the illness, he was ultimately almost blind.
Leo Kirch died on July 14, 2011 in Munich.- Johannes Steck was born on 15 March 1966 in Würzburg, Germany. He is an actor, known for In aller Freundschaft (1998), Castle Einstein (1998) and Paulas Sommer (2007).

German writer, novelist and playwright Leonhard Frank was born in Wurzburg, Germany, the son of a carpenter. His schooling was interrupted when he had to drop out to go to work to help his impoverished family. He eventually moved to Munich to study art, but found that he much preferred writing to painting. He published his first novel in 1914, "The Robber Band", to great acclaim, and followed that with another success, "The Cause of the Crime". Both novels reflect Frank's own upbringing in poverty, and his sense of "social justice" infused much of his work. With World War I raging in Europe Frank wrote his most controversial book, the anti-war "Der Mensch ist Gut", which was blasted as "treasonous" and "weakening morale on the home front" by right-wing critics. His most successful novel, "Carl and Anna"--a tale of two young German soldiers taken prisoner on the Russian front and forced to work on the desolate Russian steppe, and the steps they take to survive and what happens when they finally return to Germany--got him elected into the prestigious German Academy of Letters (it was made into a film in 1928, Homecoming (1928)_).
When the Nazis took over Germany Frank, who was Jewish, left for Paris, and later lived in England and Switzerland. In 1940 he was able to leave Europe for the US.
